I just watched a movie where they killed a dog to horrify the audience. Yes, I know it wasn't real. But I hate movies that make me contemplate the killing of dogs. I realize it says something bad about me that they can kill people by the dozens and I don't care. But I am upset by movies that kill dogs. I'm going to bed and will be hugging Toby. Fuck that movie.

I get it. I hated Mark Wahlberg and James Foley for a year or two after seeing Fear for the first time, despite knowing fully well that t hey didn’t actually kill the dog.

I got up and walked out of I Am Legend when Will’s character was trapped and it became obvious the dog would die. My GSD had recently died of cancer and I wasn’t emotionally prepared to deal with it.

I still have never watched the rest of that movie.

Here’s a good dog story......there was a landslide in Norway and a dog was swept out to sea . A Norwegian Air Force helo rescued him after he swam back to land.

Pretty impressive that the dog wasn’t afraid of the helo, he went running right into the harness. I guess after the whole landslide/ocean ordeal he was like “I’ll take my chances, get me the F— out of here”
